“Passive” by A Perfect Circle

Every time I watch Constantine, I will sit and listen to Passive immediately afterwards. I loved the song from the moment I first heard it, so when I found out it was used in the film and even had a music video based on the film, I had to watch it. From then on I was hooked and the film currently stands as one of my favourite films of all time, if not my favourite.

Tool performing “Pushit” live for their album, Salival.

“We’ve been trying something a little different this tour. We’ve been looking at one of our songs from a different angle, under a different light, so we can hopefully kind of see it almost for the first time.
We’d like try that for you tonight, is that okay?

We’re going to need your help though. We’re going to need your help and your permission. So we need you to find a comfortable space that is not only comfortable, but vulnerable. I want you to shut your eyes and go there, and we’ll meet you on the other side…”

“Grown So Ugly” by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. This afternoon I went rummaging through my dad’s CDs looking for an album that disappeared from computer at some point and I came across “Safe as Milk”, an album by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. It might not be their best album, but on the back cover held “Grown So Ugly”, my favourite song by The Black Keys and now I know it’s a cover. I’m not that surprised in fairness seeing as the name alone sounds likes a Captain Beefheart song. If anything, I now love both bands even more. If you’re interested, The Black Keys version can be found here.

“Cobrastyle” by Teddybears featuring Mad Cobra. I posted an advert with this song in it a while ago but I fancied uploading the full song for your ears to enjoy. Tomorrow, I’ll be uploading Soundgarden, brace yourselves.

Oh, I see what they did there.

Update: Okay, they’ve earned my respect. They aren’t just full of dodgy puns, as proven here.

“Your Horoscope for Today” by ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic off of his album “Running with Scissors”. Face it, it was a matter of time until I posted a Weird Al song and after a long hard exam, there’s nothing better than listening to a funky Al song. That’s a statement, not an opinion. Listen and learn what the future holds for you.
