For your consideration

Oh hey, I didn’t see you there. Did you just join tumblr? Well, if so you might want to think about to adding a comment feature to your blog for an interactive process for your readers and other bloggers. The easiest and most featured way to implement one is via Disqus. Simply go to the website, sign up and enter your details along with your blogs details.

If you want to add more functionality, select some of the additional features in the “Admin-> Settings” area. Facebook Connect is one you’re really going to want to choose, put it’s a bit tricky so you may want to leave at first until you have a spare 15 minutes to read the guide.

With your choices selected, head over to Tools, select Tumblr from the dropdown bar and follow each step. You’ll have to enter your blogs customize page and select Custom HTML theme if you haven’t already and proceed to paste the coding where shown.

And there you have it; a pretty comment box with each post (If nothing went wrong).

Later on, I’ll be telling you why you might want to play about with the next edition of Ubuntu (Out on Sunday) and why touching yourself while thinking about me may be beneficial to your health.

Edit: It’s out tomorrow, 23/04/09
